PRPÂ’s Belt Changing Tool makes it quick and easy to change the belt on your Polaris RZR. Rather than use a wrench to hold open the secondary clutch, our simple tool 'locks' the clutch open the entire time. On XP 900 and XP 1000 vehicles - just insert the tool, tighten down the bolt, and leave it in place while you change the belt. For Turbo vehicles, we have supplied a bolt that installs directly into the pre-drilled bolt hole in your secondary clutch.
Polaris RZR XP900 & XP1000
Insert the either the fat or skinny side of the belt changing tool into the secondary clutch release assembly, according to your vehicle year (2011+ XP 900, 2014-15 XP 1000 use Skinny Side. 2016+ XP 1000 use Fat Side). Insert the (Shorter) bolt into the tool, and use a 1/2" socket to tighten it down. This will compress the clutch and allow you to change the belt. The tool stays locked in place, so you can use both hands to change the belt. When finished, loosen the bolt, and remove the Belt Changing Tool.
Polaris RZR XP Turbo, Turbo S, RS1, PRO XP
The Turbo. Turbo S, RS1, and PRO XP feature an updated secondary clutch design. Instead of a level mechanism, these clutches feature a pre-drilled bolt hole where you can insert a bolt, and open up the clutch to change a belt. Each Polaris tool kit comes with a L shaped hand wrench that allows you to do this.
In this kit we’ve provided a replacement hex bolt that matches the exact thread pattern for the clutch. Instead of spinning that Polaris wrench a million times by hand, you can now use a 7/16” socket or impact gun to open up the clutch in seconds. Insert our supplied (Longer) bolt into the corresponding bolt hole in the secondary clutch. Tighten the bolt using a 7/16” socket - this will open up the clutch and allow you to change the belt. After the belt is changed, remove the bolt.
